FIRE INFORMATION

A bit wet at the moment. So a bit quiet on the fire front. Just a reminder for everyone to be careful lighting any fire.

FIRE PERMITS ARE NOT REQUIRED

You MUST have a free BURN NOTIFICATION number
BEFORE permit application or lighting up.

Ask one of the local Potato Point RFS members

You MUST notify the RFS and neighbours 24 hours beforehand.
When lighting any fire.

Please call 000 in case of fire/smoke etc.

With the new Computer Aided Dispatch system now in operation.
You MUST call 000 to call out the brigade for any incident.
This will speed up our response to any incident.
As all appliances are now tracked by GPS and computer controlled.
By all means call the Captain or Senior deputy after calling 000

Hi All Not much to report, all very quiet at the moment.

AUTOMATED FIRE DANGER SIGN Potato Point has a new automated fire danger sign located next to the fire station. The sign is ontrolled from RFS headquarters. .

Watch the Fire Danger Ratings.
If burning off,make sure you have notified the RFS
and your neighbours.

Maintenance days are back on.
Thursdays 10AM to around Noon - drop in for a cuppa
Don't forget - someone is usually at the
 fire station  every Thursday around 1000 - 1100
Drop in for information etc.
